During our career fair today we connected girl scouts with professionals – this is from the series of the Career Data Card we provided:
Illustrator and Designer
Brief job description: Create print and interactive media from concept to completion either with traditional mediums or digital.
Skills needed: Computer (focus on Adobe products: Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) and Traditional skills, from sketching to painting.
Education needed: Bachelor of Arts (BA) and bachelor of fine arts (BFA) degrees.
Fun fact about my job: Can involve travel. My job has taken me around the world working with clients. I’ve traveled throughout the United States, Canada, France, and Germany over the years.
Favorite thing about my job: Never the same project twice. Every project is a new adventure.
