Careers As Winding Roads

Exploring careers, especially at an early age, can be very valuable. It doesn’t mean that you will discover the career or path of jobs you will have for the rest of your life. It does mean that when it is time to make decisions about education, places to live, jobs to apply for, you will be far better prepared to match your interest to a rewarding career.
By thinking about what you really like to spend your time doing, you start the path for better connection to your future.
There is an amazing TV show you can watch on your computer. Roadtrip Nation allows 3 young adults to tour the nation interviewing people about their path in life. It is easy to binge on 12 seasons of great conversations. Check it out, and you will see that careers can take many different turns.
You can hear interviews from Ben Burtt, the sound effect designer for Star Wars movies to the Museum of Science and Industry’s Physicist, Olivia Castellini.
