Career Fair – Career Data Card: VP Recruiting

During our career fair today we connected girl scouts with professionals – this is from the series of the Career Data Card we provided:
Vice President Recruiting
Brief job description: Directs the Recruiting Division of a Consulting organization by managing who works on which client projects. Locates and evaluates potential employees to hire for positions that service clients, provide employee training or business development (sales).
Skills needed: Good research and analytical skills (hunters, detective mentality), excellent listening skills, target driven (work well on your own), patience and a positive attitude.
Education needed: Ideally a Bachelor’s of Science degree
Fun fact about my job: I get to learn about the latest technologies as well as to hear about the most amazing applications that otherwise I would never imagine, they would exist.
Favorite thing about my job: You can make an impact on the lives of people. Helping people find a job is a life changing event. It is a great feeling being part of it.
