Skills needed: Compassion, patience, love for children, ability to communicate, cultural sensitivity, knowledge of typical (normal) and atypical (abnormal) childhood development, knowledge of a variety of diagnostic tests
Education needed: Masters in Human Development and Early Childhood Disorders
Fun fact about my job: Culture plays a big role in a child’s development and medical treatment; get paid to play with kids all day
Favorite thing about my job: working with children, developing relationships with families, watching children learn new skills
